A Little Bump In His Road

This is Bacho's knee.

This is Bacho's knee after it said 'hello' to the asphalt after biffing it on his bike.
(don't tell him a said so, but it's a bit of a turn-on to see him in his biking get-up. I'll show you later.)

73 days and counting until Bacho's big Ironman debut.
He's been in training for many months.

He's been biking and running and swimming his little heart out.

There've been many times during these many months that we've both wondered whether it was pure insanity (especially me).

We've also both wondered if he was going to need the medics to  pull him out of the water because little boys from Puerto Rico tend to be on baseball teams, not swim teams.

But, believe me when I tell you you'll never meet a more dedicated, disciplined person in your life.

He'll push it until he's got nothing left to push.

He's going to do great.  I know he will.

I'm just hoping he doesn't hit any more bumps out there.
We're fresh out of neosporine, band-aids and extra skin for knees.

OUCH!!! That knee looks sore and painful.

Falling must be a rite of passage or something. Or a sure sign of dedication when they literally, get right back on their bike. Can't wait for St. George! Are you bringing your kids?

Always looking forward to your next blog edition but not exactly that kind of sad news. Get better quick and back to the training. I was used to always seeing large and small bacon looking patches somewhere on Shayne's body with the mountain biking. But I don't remember those cute things sticking out. Best wishes to all of you. Love you

Uuuugh! I would've said that I was done! I don't know how you were able to take a picture of that. It makes me cringe.

Every time I see it - I feel so bad. It looks like it hurts.

Bacho will do awesome. He is so dedicated to training - it's very impressive. We'll be there to cheer him on. Lets go Bacho...lets go!!!

Yikes. That just makes my stomach turn. So sad, but he will probably have a very manly man scar to sport now!
