Cama Graaaaande

Our kids are officially transitioned to their own rooms! Bodie has been in the crib and poor Abby has been sleeping anywhere we've put her down. I'm not sure if we've been too chicken to put Bodie in the big bed, or if we just haven't felt like dealing with the drama it might bring. But last night was the night. We've been telling Bodie he gets to sleep in cama grande and making a big deal about it. We've been telling him cama chiquita is for Abby. He was pretty excited about the whole thing until the moment actually came that it was time to go to bed. Bacho did his nightly routine with Bodie:
1. Brush Dientes
2. Kiss Mama and Abby and tell us Buenas Noches
3. Get zipped up in his sack
4. Close the door and sing, "La Luz" with Daddy
Everything was all good until the song. Bodie got suspicious of what was going on. But we were tough though and we stuck to our guns. Bacho layed him down. He fussed a little and that was that. No Drama. None at all. It was a pleasant surprise for all.
In the next room, Abby layed down and put herself to sleep in cama chiquita. She's pretty good at that these days. But she still gets up in the night and we don't love that so much. We thought it might be time to break her of that. We were keeping with the theme of the night and sticking to our guns.

"We'll let her cry tonight," we said.

At 1:00 a.m. she cried for 10 minutes.

"She probably really is hungry," we said.

Then we fed our baby.

So much for sticking to our guns.

Thats great they are finally in their own beds. They look like they are enjoying them and getting some good zzz's. Im glad to hear Bodie brushes his teeth, you could never guess how many little kids dont brush and the parents dont help.

Let me know when you let Abby cry through the night and it actually works. I will still be dreaming for that night to come. In the mean time, Wyatt sleeps best in the middle of our bed. Cailyn says its warmer and softer than hers so maybe thats what wyatt would say if he could talk.
