We Love You Grandpa

On Thursday, April 24 our sweet Grandpa Andersen passed away peacefully in his home. Grandpa lived a remarkable life full of love, service, family, friends and laughter. Grandpa was a kind, gentle man always ready to help. He had so many talents, but was especially talented at building things with wood. Several years ago he made two pieces of furniture for me. They're shaped like cubes and we use them for side table. The tops are removable and we store games and quilts inside. He worked for weeks to make the cubes and made sure every inch was just perfect. We get compliments on them all the time and even had a buyer of our home want to purchase them with the house. We of course said, no way!

Bacho, Bodie and I were in Utah just a week before Grandpa passed away. We were able to spend a few hours at his home and visit with he and Grandma. What a gift to have been able to spend time with him and talk to him.
Bodie and I flew to Utah on Friday and spent the weekend with friends and family of Grandpa. I loved listening to his sweet neighbors of so many years tell me stories about Grandpa and share with me how much they love him too. We will miss him, but what a blessing to have the Gospel in our lives and to understand the plan of salvation. We know he is with our Heavenly Father and we will see him again. We love you Grandpa.
